After lunch today we went to an antique bazaar that I know Carol has found buttons for a good price previously, even though I hadn’t. How does she do it, I wondered as I wandered? then I spotted this …

Do you see what I see? I didn’t really want to pay $30 for the pack, but couldn’t resist the Beutron children’s card.

I also spotted this:

Charles L. Parsons

From the company’s website, 1932.

Charles Leslie Parsons started this firm of woollen merchants in Sydney in 1915. In 1941 the firm a warehouse at 312-14 Flinders Lane.

Today it is a 4th generation family firm that has diversified into other areas of clothing, craft and fashion, with branches in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth.

The trademark in the right hand top corner was registered by William Heron, Sydney woollen merchant in 1898. Presumably his business had been absorbed into Charles Parsons & Co P/L.

The company has a great history on its website. See http://www.charlesparsons.com/splash/
