New finds: ‘Fashionable Buttons’ from the 1940s.

Below I have compared one of the above grey buttons with a green “Lovely Lady’ (General Plastics) button. The material and size are similar, as are the daisies. Could this be another brand of buttons produced by General Plastics?

    Hi, Grey & green flowers — what do the backs look like? Are they pressed — e.g. the back looks same as front (but indented, rather than ‘out’? What material do you think? Enjoy as always, Deb

      Yes they are pressed. Thety don’t simichrome test for bakelite: they could be casein.
