New finds: Grant Featherston buttons

and with a similar style but some type of ceramic…

It is some kind of glazed and fired material, but softer than ceramic as I can scratch a white powder from the unglazed section of the shank. Could it be an example of the Melbourne made buttons described below? It was sourced from a Melbourne button dealer.

    I find the Grant Featherston buttons especially fascinating. Do you know if they were only made of glass and ceramic? I have found one that looks exactly like the “spiral worm” type ones but made of clear plastic with a metal shank. Perhaps a copy? I’m interested to know more about it.
