Beutron children’s and babies’ buttons

In the 1950s several Australian manufacturers produced lines of children’s and babies’ buttons.  Beauclaire had ‘Tiny Tots’, Woolworths had ‘Kiddietone’, Beutron had a series of 6 collectable cards, and Rex C. Norris had  ‘Jack and Jill’. Beutron also did babies’ buttons in their ‘Tecpearl’ range.

Thanks so much to Marian Clark (a.k.a ‘the Crazyhaberdasher’ amongst other monikers!) She has kindly shared so many photographs from her own collection of Beutrons children’s  range that I’ve had to start a new page! (see also my December 12th post).

Thanks to Marion Clark for all the above examples. I wish I had an original button carousel!

The same teddy bear button as seen on the bear-shaped card were also available on standard cards.

Thank-you Carol for showing us your collection of collectable cards.

On the back of the card. Wouldn’t you love to have a copy of this booklet?

The card on the left is by British company Excelsior. So cute. Similar era to the Beutron cards.

Pre-1966. The card was printed in Japan.
